This face-to-face Construction Induction (White Card) course provides all the Worksafe WA requirements and is designed to equip participants with the required skills and knowledge to work safely in the construction industry. The White Card is mandatory for working within the construction industry.
On successful completion of this course, you will be issued with:
- A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment

Course content / overview.
This course provides participants with the theory and practical skills required to work safely in the construction industry. This course is delivered by Stark Training face to face in a classroom setting, and combines a variety of learning tools, a questionnaire to test your understanding and a practical assessment of the application and knowledge of PPE (personal protective equipment).
CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
This course includes:
- Currently legislation and requirements of construction work
- Identify construction hazards and risk control measures
- Identify incident and emergency responses
- Identify health and safety communication and reporting processes.
Course duration and location.
- One day – 6 hours
- Arrival time is 7.15am for a 7.30am commencement
- Training will take place at Stark Training, 3 McCombe Road Bunbury.
Prerequisites .
Participants are required to:
- Provide a USI (Unique Student Identifier)
- Have good English literacy, reading and numeracy skills and ability. You will be required to read and complete a multi choice questionnaire, read and interpret signage and write safety documentation.
- A driver’s licence, passport or other form of photo identification. Two forms of photo ID in total.
- Have a Western Australia address and ID reflecting this.
- Appropriate clothing
- Long pants
- Long sleeve shirt or hi visibility long sleeve shirt
- Steel cap boots or fully enclosed work boots
- Hard helmet
- Hi visibility vest (provided if required)
- Ear protection
On the day
Students are to arrive on time at 7.15am and bring required documents for sighting.
Tea and coffee and morning tea provided.

The Construction Training Fund (CTF) provides funding support for training of eligible workers in the construction industry. Course must be delivered by qualified training personnel through a private RTO. We can assist you in the application of CTF funding if eligibility is met.
